Sabu Oguro animals

These wonderful animals were invented by Saburo Oguro, a master from Japan. He is the author of many original ideas in the field of artistic sawing and wooden toys.  We embodied  this set in a wood with my 10 year old daughter as a gift to one baby. I sawed, then we painted together in bright colors. The set consists of 15 different animals, from which you can build all kinds of patterns, pyramids and other designs.

Этих чудесных зверят придумал Сабуро Огуро, мастер из Японии. Он автор множества оригинальных идей в области художественного выпиливания и деревянных игрушек. Этот набор мы воплотили в дереве вместе с моей 10 летней дочерью  в подарок одной малышке. Я выпиливал, затем вместе раскрашивали в яркие цвета. Набор состоит из 15 разных зверят, из которых можно строить всевозможные узоры, пирамиды и другие конструкции.

Svensky Fair is one of the famous Russian fairs, which has long been held at the walls of the Svensky Monastery in Bryansk. In this puzzle, I wanted to show my people on weekdays and holidays, fairy tales, dances and works.

Свенская ярмарка - одна из знаменитых российских ярмарок, с давних пор проходящая у стен Свенского монастыря в Брянске. Мне захотелось в этом пазле показать мой народ в буднях и праздниках, сказки, пляски и труды.

I made this wooden jigsaw puzzle using the spiral cutting style I created. The entire field of the puzzle consists of repeating trefoils-spirals. I didn’t want to divide something harder this time and decided to use a rather simple ornament.

puzzle 048 - Gamblers

I and my customer really liked the picture of the Russian artist Andrei Shishkin "Gamblers". I contacted the author and received his permission to make this wooden jigsaw puzzle. The result seems to be interesting. For figures, I applied the theme of playing cards of different styles and eras.
